On the afternoon of April 11^th, Gong Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Jiaotong University, met with Prof. Nicholas Andrew Tyler, the fellow of the British Royal Academy of Engineering and Prof. Xu Zhang, University College London in Conference Room 206 of Mingde Building, Nan’ an Campus. Relevant heads and teachers of General Office, International Office and the School of Architecture and Urban Planning accompanied the meeting.

Secretary Gong Hui firstly expressed his warm welcome to Academician Nicholas Andrew Tyler and Prof. Zhang Xu for this visit, and fully exchanged views and opinions with the two experts on disciplinary innovation, talent cultivation, artificial intelligence, and big data construction and application.

After the meeting, relevant directors and teachers of the International Office and School of Architecture and Urban Planning continued the exchange with the two experts in Conference Room 308. Mr. Mao Mingyong, director of the International Office, introduced the basic situation of the university and international cooperation and exchanges from the aspects of development history, disciplines and specialties, science and technology innovation. Wen Quan, assistant to the dean of School of Architecture and Urban Planning, reported on the internationalization development ideas and the existing cooperation achievements of the school, etc.

Based on the university's "Transportation+" education specialty, Academician Nicholas Andrew Tyler and Prof. Zhang Xu shared their views on the future development of the discipline and the construction ideas based on their own research fields. As our experts of the High-end overseas intelligence introduction project, they also expressed their willingness to bridge University College London and Chongqing Jiaotong University to promote the construction of disciplines and specialties and cooperation in Sino-foreign education program and other cooperation and exchange in a wider scope.
